If you don't configure the Enable web search in Copilot plan, internet search is readily available to customers by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you establish the Allow the use of extra optional connected experiences in Office plan to Disabled.

Copilot Conversation is now pinned by default in the navigating bar of the Microsoft 365 copilot portal alternative app, Teams, and Overview for most users that are qualified for Copilot Chat throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

If you previously selected 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigation bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and additionally unattended the 'Allow customers to be asked whether they intend to pin it' option, your setting setup is 'Do not pin' and your customers still won't have Copilot pinned in their navigating bar.

The Permit web search in Copilot policy also permits you to manage web search for individuals with a Microsoft 365 Copilot certificate. To ensure individuals throughout your organization have very easy access to Copilot Conversation and can take advantage of its safety and security and experience updates, we recommend that your customers have Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat pinned to their navigation bar.
