If you do not set up the Allow internet search in Copilot plan, web search is available to individuals by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you establish the Enable the use of extra optional connected experiences in Office plan to Handicapped.

Copilot Chat is now pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Groups, and Overview for the majority of users that are eligible for Copilot Conversation across the web, mobile, and desktop.

If you formerly chose 'Do not pin copilot finance app cost to the navigation bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and also unchecked the 'Allow users to be asked whether they intend to pin it' alternative, your setting configuration is 'Do not pin' and your users still will not have Copilot pinned in their navigation bar.

The Allow internet search in Copilot policy also enables you to handle internet search for customers with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. To make sure individuals throughout your organization have easy access to Copilot Chat and can benefit from its security and experience updates, we advise that your customers have Microsoft 365 Copilot Conversation pinned to their navigating bar.
