If you do not set up the Enable internet search in Copilot policy, internet search is offered to individuals by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you set the Permit the use of additional optional linked experiences in Workplace policy to Impaired.

Copilot Conversation is copilot free currently pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Teams, and Overview for the majority of individuals that are eligible for Copilot Chat across the internet, mobile, and desktop.

Admins can additionally transform the pinning setups of Copilot Chat for customers in Microsoft Teams through the Groups admin center: Assign an app setup plan with Copilot Chat in the pinned apps to customers with an Entra account.

The Permit web search in Copilot plan also allows you to manage internet search for customers with a Microsoft 365 Copilot permit. To make sure people throughout your company have very easy access to Copilot Conversation and can take advantage of its protection and experience updates, we recommend that your individuals have Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat pinned to their navigation bar.
