If you do not configure the Permit web search in Copilot plan, internet search is readily available to customers by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Chat, unless you establish the Permit the use of extra optional linked experiences in Office plan to Disabled.

Copilot Chat is currently pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, Groups, and Expectation for most individuals who are qualified for Copilot Conversation across the internet, mobile, and desktop computer.

Admins can also transform the pinning settings of Copilot Conversation for users in Microsoft Teams through the Teams admin facility: Appoint an application arrangement plan with Copilot Conversation in the pinned applications to individuals with an Entra account.

The Permit web search in Copilot Client Portal App policy also allows you to take care of web search for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot certificate. To ensure individuals across your organization have very easy access to Copilot Conversation and can benefit from its safety and security and experience updates, we suggest that your individuals have Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat pinned to their navigating bar.
