If you do not set up the Permit web search in Copilot policy, internet search is available to customers by default in both Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Conversation, unless you establish the Permit the use of added optional connected experiences in Workplace plan to Handicapped.

Copilot Chat is currently pinned by default in the navigation bar of the Microsoft 365 Copilot application, Groups, and Overview for most users who are eligible for Copilot Conversation throughout the internet, mobile, and desktop.

If you formerly chose 'Do not pin Copilot to the navigating bar' in the Microsoft 365 admin center and likewise unattended the 'Allow customers to be asked whether they wish to pin it' alternative, your setup configuration is 'Do not pin' and your users still won't have Copilot pinned in their navigation bar.

The Allow internet search in Copilot policy also allows you to handle internet search for customers with a Microsoft 365 copilot portal supreme license. To ensure individuals across your organization have easy accessibility to Copilot Conversation and can gain from its safety and security and experience updates, we recommend that your individuals have Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat pinned to their navigation bar.
